Hope Lodge
Hope Lodge
Hope Lodge is our holiday home in South Devon. The house is divided into two and our half is on the ground floor. Our parents live upstairs.
We have never rented our home before but since moving to Sussex from London to live, we find we don’t visit it as often and it sits empty.
We don’t want to use agents as they tell us to strip our home of everything we love. They would prefer, what we believe is, a soulless space. We would like to share our home. It means we will trust you to use our possessions rather than replace them with cheaper, uglier versions. It means you can enjoy the atmosphere of a home that has been styled and designed with love and care. It means you will find quality bed linen and towels. It means you won’t need to go to a supermarket to buy every basic essential the moment you arrive. We will leave it to your discretion to replace anything you consider necessary.
It does, however, mean our home is not suitable for young children. We would also prefer no animals (although we can always make exceptions!)

We have gutted the entire inside space and created a 30 foot open plan room overlooking the sea. The sitting and dining/kitchen areas are separated by a central fireplace.
There are 3 bedrooms. Two of them have double beds, one with an ensuite bathroom. The third has bunk beds. There is a wet room (comprising shower and sink), and a separate toilet and sink. And not forgetting the utility room.
Do click on the links above to see the rooms in more detail. As we have only just decided to do this we do have some availability for this summer (2011) so contact us if you are interested: amanda@artdirectyourlife.com
